The Squadron receives regular flying places from the Merseyside Wing for it’s Cadets, usually taking place of a Sunday. Each Cadet spends the day at the RAF Station, where they are kitted out into RAF flight suits, helmets and even parachutes!

Once they had received their Safety brief, the Cadets embarked onto the Grob Tutor Aircraft – the RAF’s elementary flying trainer. Each Pilot instructed the Cadets on the basic handling of the aircraft, giving them control - some flying an aircraft for the very first time.
Although the bad weather ruled out aerobatics on the day, the Cadets were able to fly over Liverpool city centre and enjoy the sights.
Cadet Andrew Gibson explained “It was really fun. Each flight lasted for about 30 minutes and I got to see Everton’s football ground and the sights of Liverpool city centre.”
The ATC offers all it's Cadets the opportunity to go flying.
