Drill

Drill is an important activity in the ATC, it promoted teamwork, alertness and a responsiveness to orders. It consists of turnings at the halt (known as static drill), marching and manoeuvres on the march.

We do drill on Parade nights to practice and also as a formality at the end of the night. The drill team

practice regularly which has resulted in 90 (Speke) Squadron winning the Ground Training Day Drill trophy for the past 2 years (2007,2008). GTC is held every year where Squadrons from across the Merseyside Wing compete in many activities.

Drill is also a very large part of formal parades throughout the ATC such as Rememberance Sunday. Every Cadet of 90 (Speke) Squadron will be taught to a high standard of drill. The squadron's drill team have reached the Regional Drill Competition for two conseutive years.
